WeightLoss NG runs weightlossng.com and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it on WhatsApp at +234 815 805 7142.
What we collect
When you visit the website
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. It collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, your approximate location, and when you tap a WhatsApp button. It uses cookies to do this. Our hosting provider, Netlify, also keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address.
The website has no forms and no accounts. We do not collect your name or contact details through the website itself.
When you message us on WhatsApp
When you contact us, we receive your WhatsApp name and phone number and whatever you choose to tell us. This usually includes the medication and dose you want and your delivery address. Some customers also share health information, such as their weight, medical conditions or other medicines they take.
When you pay
Payment is by bank transfer. We see the details that come with your transfer, such as the account name, bank, amount and reference. We will never ask for your card details, PIN or banking passwords.
Health information
Information about your health is sensitive personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act. We only use it if you choose to share it with us, and only to handle your enquiry or order. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
How we use your information
- To answer your questions and confirm prices.
- To process, pack and deliver your order.
- To match your payment to your order.
- To keep the business records the law requires.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
- Delivery couriers receive your name, phone number and delivery address so they can deliver your order.
- WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, carries our messages with you. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers how it handles them.
- Google processes website usage data through Google Analytics.
- Netlify hosts the website and keeps its server logs.
- Our bank processes the payments you send us.
We may also share information where the law requires it, for example in response to a lawful request from a Nigerian authority.
Transfers outside Nigeria
Google, Meta and Netlify may process data on servers outside Nigeria, including in the United States. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards these providers put in place for international data transfers.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga. They help us count visits and see which pages are useful, and they do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including any period the law requires us to keep business records. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop or limit how we use it;
- give your information to you, or to another organisation, in a format you can use.
Where we use information because you consented, you can withdraw that consent at any time. To use any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss and misuse. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure.
Children
We supply adults only, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
